Recent Discovery

I know I gave off the impression that all I every wanted from any other class was to be able to choose the curriculum, but it seems to me now that depending on the topic, those kinds of freedoms are a bit too much. If you were in law school or if you were a pre med student it would probably be a bad choice to always choose what you want to learn, as you would certainly fail the bar or MCAT exams.

I agree. Sometimes those freedoms are too much. It is nice to find some sort of a balance between such a strict curriculum and such freedoms. I hope as we were able to have a better feel from last class that within the next following week we will be able to find that balance.

Max--what happened to the second assignment?

I don't know, I must have missed it somehow, totally lame excuse, I know. But it's the only explanation I have...

maybe it will help give you structure when you keep in mind that I assess you on the basis of your weekly performance. This would mean that at this point you've done half the work for the class. Since you posted a little more the first week, you get some credit for that. Which would mean I'd assess your effort for 2 weeks as 60 percent. Little engagement with reading, failure to do second assignment, minimal commenting on class blogs. 60 percent is a D.

I'll have to do better then, unless there is something else I can do to make up for it.

doing better and more does make up for it; you should have 2 more posts related to assignments 1 and 2; and you should have interesting comments on at least 5 blogs,
